Durham Flyfishers are a group of anglers who are interested in flyfishing (obviously).

Meetings are held every second and fourth Thursday of the month through the winter November to March. (We are too busy fishing in the summer).

We meet at the Brandon & Meadowfield Royal British Legion Club in Meadowfield,  a few miles west of Durham City, 8pm prompt. Earlier if you wish. The beer is good and the atmosphere is friendly, it’s club prices as well. Bring a mate, he can drive while you enjoy the beer.

Membership is open to anyone. The membership fee for 2009/2010 is a tenner.

Most members bring some fly-tying kit and beginners, novices and experts alike are most welcome. The more skilful members are always prepared to demonstrate their skills.

We arrange presentations from well known anglers, covering all aspects of the sport including running, still & saltwater.

We also have the odd day out with a bit of tuition thrown in.
